Chinese VSF prices soften in previous week

In the previous week, price of Chinese cotton linter remained unchanged. Price of cotton linter hovered around RMB 3850/ton to RMB 4050/ton. Market fundamentals remained quite firm; therefore trading offers were in between RMB 3875/ton to RMB 4050/ton. Market maintained firm sentiment and price stood headstrong in the range of RMB 3900/ton to RMB 4100/ton.

Price of dissolving pulp in China remained stable in the week. Price of dissolving pulp did not change from the range of RMB 8550/ton to RMB 8650/ton in Chinese domestic market. Price of imported dissolving wood pulp was in the range of US$ 1110/ton to US$ 1150/ton. Pulp imported from U.S.A, Canada and Sweden was in the range of US$ 1100/ton to US$ 1150/ton. Counter offers were around US$ 1100/ton to US$ 1130/ton.

Price of VSF turned softer during the last week. Producers firmly held their offers around RMB 16100/ton. Earlier, price opened at RMB 15900/ton, but with support of demand fundamentals, trading price declined to RMB 15900/ton. In Chinese market, offers for imported VSF fell in the range of US$ 2.15/kg to US$ 2.20/kg.
