Market atmosphere of PTA spot imports was light on January 17. Scattered market quotations for Taiwan stock were about US $1,180 / ton, downstream bids were about $1165 / ton, and actual negotiation was in the range of $1170-1175 / ton.
Sporadic offers for Korean goods were $1160/ ton, downstream bids were about $1150 / ton and actual discussion was around $1155 / ton.
Trading atmosphere in the PTA market too was light in North & East China on January 17.
In North China, cargo holders made scattered offers in the range of 8,950-9,050 Yuan / ton, downstream bids were around 8,900 Yuan / ton, actual negotiation was around 8,950 Yuan / ton.
In East China, PTA cargo holders made offers in the range of 8,950-9,000 Yuan / ton, downstream bids were around 8,850 Yuan / ton, actual negotiation was in the range of 8,900-8,950 Yuan / ton.
