Chinese polyester chip market in adjustment mode

The polyester chip market in China is still in an adjustment phase and the mainstream price is around 11,000 Yuan/ton for cash payment.

Meanwhile, Chinese petroleum major Sinopec has announced its settlement prices for February contract of polyester chips. The prices are 11,350 Yuan/ton for semi-dull chips, bright chips and industrial yarn grade chips, while dull grade chips are priced at 12,150 Yuan/ton.

The Sinopec Group has also announced settlement prices for February contract of polyester staple fibre, which are 12,400 Yuan/ton for 1.4D semi-dull, 12,450 Yuan/ton for 1.2D semi-dull and 12,900 Yuan/ton for 1.2D bright. All the prices are for delivery at buyer's destination.

The market weekly guide price for 1.4D semi-light is 12,400 Yuan/ton, for 1.2D semi-dull it is 12,450 Yuan/ton, and 13,000 Yuan/ton for 1.2D bright, all to be delivered at buyer's destination.

In China's domestic mainstream market, 1.4D polyester staple fibre is currently being traded in the range of 11,800-11,900 Yuan/ton, which is 500 Yuan/ton less compared to the previous week's price.
