Chinese PTA imports rose phenomenally in February from a year earlier.
China imported 477,000 tons of PTA in February 2012, a rise of 144,000 tons or 43.24 percent from a year ago.
It also rose 9.62 percent or 41,900 tons from its previous month, according to statistics.
The average import price was US $1,176 / ton in February, up 7.94 percent from January 2012, but down 14.87 percent from a year earlier.
