Island composite filament market remained at previous week's (April 9 to 15) level in China's Shengze market, although sales rose slightly in polyester market.
While island composite filament DTY 225D (excellent) was traded in the range of 17,600-17,800 Yuan/ton, island composite filament DTY 105D (excellent) was offered around 20,200 Yuan/ton.
Sales were mainly focused on DTY 225 owing to huge demand of home textile fabrics in the market. Consequently, the production of weft suede fabrics is also greater.
In the reported week, buying offers from downstream market for FDY 75D/24F were less and actually traded volume was small.
Demand of island composite filament is unlikely to see an upward trend and the island composite filament market is expected to remain flat during the current week.
