Asian propylene stable, ACN demand weak

In S E Asian countries, price of Propylene remained stable at US$ 1445/ton. In Korea, it declined by US$ 5/ ton to US$ 1440/ton, while in Japan, price remained unchanged at US$ 1450/ton. In Chinese domestic market, price was assessed around US$ 1500/ton.

In Western market, price of Propylene remained stable. In N W European domestic market, price hovered around €1155/ton, but deals mainly concluded in the range of € 1150/ton to € 1160/ton. In U.S.A market, selling offers declined to 65.65 cents/pounds.

Overall demand for ACN was weak. In Chinese spot market, speculators still checked the price, but stayed away from active buying.

Acrylonitrile market remained inert in the Asian market. In S E Asian and F E Asian countries, ACN price was in the range of US$ 2195/ton and US$ 2225/ton.

Japanese firm Asahi Kasei kept its ACP for May around US$ 2350/ton, down US$ 50/ton from April. It lowered its ACP mainly due to expected plant restart at Mizushima production facility.

In Chinese market, offers for ACN was in the range of US$ 2180/ton to US$ 2240/ton for goods imported from U.S.A region.

In Chinese domestic market, ASF and Acrylic Tops prices remained unchanged around RMB 20550/ton and RMB 21475/ton, respectively.
