Chinese imports of PTA reached 483,500 tons in March 2012, up 42,800 tons or 9.71 percent from a year earlier.
It also rose marginally by 6,500 tons or 1.36 percent from its previous month, according to statistics.
The average import price in March was US $1,201 / ton, a rise of 2.11 percent from February, but down 19.97 percent from a year ago.
