The Chinese spot caprolactam (CPL) imports market showed transient stability, trading atmosphere was light and actual talks were scarce, yesterday.
Cargo holders offered in the range of US $2580-2600 / ton (CFR China main port, L/C 90 days), downstream manufacturers bid in the range of $2550-2560 / ton and actually negotiated prices were around $2560-2580 / ton.
The domestic spot CPL market was flat on May 2 and actual turnover was rare.
Cargo holders made offers in the range of 20,500-20,600 Yuan / ton, downstream manufacturers were interested at about 20,400 Yuan / ton, while actually negotiated prices were around 20,400-20,500 Yuan / ton.
