China's spot market of caprolactam (CPL) imports was firm on May 7. However, cargo holders were reluctant sellers.
Market offers were about US $2650 / ton (CFR China main port, L/C, 90 days), downstream manufacturers bid around $2600 / ton and actually negotiated price was in the range of 2620-2630 / ton.
China's domestic CPL spot market was steady on May 7, trading atmosphere appeared plain and actual turnover was light.
Cargo holders offered in the range of 20,800-21,000 Yuan / ton, downstream manufacturers were interested in the range of 20,600-20,700 Yuan / ton and actually negotiated price was in the range of 20,700-20,800 Yuan / ton.
