Chinese PTA imports plunged in April, when compared with its previous month and also a year earlier.
China's import volume of PTA reached 344,400 tons in April, down 28.72 percent or 139,200 tons from March.
April PTA imports also fell by 110,300 tons or 24.25 percent from the same time last year, according to customs statistics.
The average import price was US $1,165 / ton in April, down 2.99 percent from the average price in March, and 21.98 percent from the same period last year.
