Chinese VSF prices plunge in previous week

In the just concluded week, prices of Cotton Linter were stable-to-soft at RMB 3500/ton. Earlier, price opened at RMB 3550/ton. In the last update from market, prices were in the range of RMB 3450/ton to RMB 3700/ton.  Trading offers were in between RMB 3400/ton to RMB 3800/ton. Average price for last week was at RMB 3650/ton.

Price of Dissolving pulp declined last week. In Chinese domestic market, prices were in the range of RMB 7750/ton to RMB 7850/ton. Prices of imported Dissolving Wood Pulp were in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1080/ton. Prices of Pulp imported from U.S, Canada and Spain were in the range of US$ 900/ton to US$ 1150/ton, whereas price of Pulp imported from Sweden was at US$ 950 to US$ 1150/ton while in Russia it was at US$ 1050/ton.

During the reporting week, price of VSF plunged down to RMB 14650/ton. Earlier, price opened in the range of RMB 14950/ton to RMB 15150/ton, but trading price went down to RMB 14600/ton. In Chinese market, offers for imported VSF hovered in the range of US$ 1.90/kg to US$ 2.10/kg. Market experts believed that price should be range bound around US$ 2.10/kg in the near future.

In the same week, VFY prices remained stable-to-soft at RMB 44350/ton. Earlier, price opened at RMB 44400/ton and trading price remained stable-to-soft at RMB 44350/ton. In the Chinese market, offers for imported VFY hovered in the range of US$ 6250/ton to US$ 6350/ton. In Chinese domestic market, trade was sluggish in viscose filament yarn market, as downstream producers bought on hand to mouth basis.
