Deepak Fertilisers restarts Taloja based methanol plant

Pune based Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals has restarted a methanol plant located in Maharashtra, which was taken off-stream in May 2012.

A company official informed fibre2fashion that the methanol plant located in Taloja – Maharashtra has been restarted on June 18.

He attributed shortage of feedstock as the main reason for stopping operations of the plant.

The methanol plant has a capacity of 100,000 tons per year and is currently producing 100 tons of methanol per day.
