Dia-Nitrix manages two ACN plants in Japan. One in Otake and the other in Mizushima. The Otake plant has ACN capacity of 90,000 tons / year and Mizushima plant of 115,000 tons / year.

On being asked to comment on present ACN price trends, the company spokesperson said, “Conditions in ACN market is not clear at this moment as there was no information on spot contract prices.

“We hear that major customers of ABS are negotiating with ACN suppliers, regarding the decrease in long term contract volume, as it is connected with volume discount. This contract price is not yet disclosed”.

Further he said that, the market demand of ACN is still weak especially in the textile sector and the demand from ABS is expected to be slightly better in the months of July to September, 2012.
