PX prices surge, polyester POY, DTY & FDY stable

Today, Asian PX prices surged, while PTA, ethylene, MEG and PSF too moved up. However, MEG & PSF rose albeit marginally. In the Chinese domestic and US dollar market, polyester POY, FDY and DTY remained stable on July 5.

In SE Asian market PX prices climbed US $40 per ton to $1322 per ton (CFR). PTA rose $15 to $1007 per ton (CFR) also in SE Asia, while ethylene trends increased to $977 per ton (CFR), up $20 per ton in the same region.  

In South Asia, MEG prices grew $5 per ton to $892 per ton (CFR). PSF prices too trudged up by $5 to $1400 per ton (FOB China) and BGPET Chip trends remained stable at $1310 per ton (CFR) in FE Asia.

Polyester filament yarn continued to maintain stability for the second day today in Chinese domestic as well as US dollar market.

In the Chinese domestic market, polyester POY, DTY and FDY were quoted at RMB 9600, RMB 11000 and RMB 9400 per ton, respectively and in the Chinese US dollar market, POY, DTY and FDY were assessed at $1278, $1461 and $1233 per ton.
