Asian PSF trends dip marginally

Polyester staple fibre (PSF) prices dropped marginally in various Asian markets today, while polyester filament yarn (PFY) trends were stable in the Chinese domestic market, but grew slightly in the Chinese US dollar market.

In SE Asia and FE Asia, PSF prices fell by $3 to $1310 per ton and $1410 per ton, respectively. In the Chinese market, they declined by RMB 25 to RMB 9925 per ton.

In the Chinese PFY market, POY, DTY and FDY were steady and quoted at RMB 11450 per ton, RMB 10050 per ton and RMB 9950 per ton, respectively.

In the Chinese US dollar market, POY rose by $2.34 to $1360.05 per ton, DTY grew $2.64 per ton to $1528.45 per ton and FDY ascended by $2.32 per ton to $1330.17 per ton.
