Earlier the PTA plant located in Ulsan was running at 80 percent rates, mainly due to slowdown in demand and low margins, a Taekwang official told fibre2fashion.
He said demand for PTA had improved in the previous week which was the main reason for increasing capacity rates at the plant.
He further informed that they had undertaken a turnaround at the plant in April and had been taken off-stream for a period of 10 days.
The PTA plant has a capacity of one million tons per annum.
