The Northeast Company under the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) has increased its ex-factory price of benzene by 200 Yuan/ton to 8500 Yuan/ton.

The hike in price has been announced in view of fair sales of benzene as well as low level of inventory held by manufacturers.

In East China, after the upward revision, the mainstream offer for benzene is 8500 Yuan/ton, while the mainstream price of hydrogenation benzene is 8300 Yuan/ton. However, market supply is limited.

In Shandong region, the mainstream offers for benzene are in the range of 8500-8550 Yuan/ton. Here too, the market supply is tight and the market is likely to rise.

In Jiangsu region, mainstream offers in toluene market are in the range of 8250-8300 Yuan/ton. Both inquiries and buying interest are light and the market is in stalemate situation.
