China's CPL market temporarily stable

China’s domestic caprolactam (CPL) market was temporarily stable, with trading atmosphere remaining quiet on August 15.
 
Cargo holders quoted price of around 18,500 Yuan/ton, while downstream manufacturers showed interest for buying in the range of 18,200-18,300 Yuan/ton, and actually negotiated prices were in the range of 18,300-18,400 Yuan/ton. However, very few actual negotiations took place.
 
The supply of imported CPL was stable on August 15. Prices of CPL produced in Eastern Europe increased slightly to US$ 2,320/ton, while mainstream market pries were in the range of US$ 2,290-2,300/ton.
 
In terms of RMB, mainstream prices were in the range of 18,200-18,400 Yuan/ton, and sellers were more inclined towards selling their stocks.
