Taekwang operates ACN plant at reduced run rates

South Korea-based Taekwang Petrochemical has reduced the operating rate of its acrylonitrile (ACN) plant located in Ulsan.

‘The ACN plant is currently operating at around 80 percent production capacity’, a Taekwang official informed fibre2fashion.

He added by saying that they had reduced the production capacity due to the weak demand fundamentals in the market.

The Ulsan plant has a ACN capacity of 290,000 tons per annum.
