The price of caprolactam (CPL) increased in East China market on September 19.

In the domestic market, cargo holders quoted CPL price in the range of 19,500-19,700 Yuan/ton, while downstream buyers inquired in the range of 19,200-19,300 Yuan/ton.

Trading atmosphere entered into a deadlock phase and actual negotiations were limited.

On September 19, China’s spot market for CPL imports was firm as cargo holders were disinclined to sell stocks at lower prices.

Traders made some sporadic offers in the range of US$ 2,440-2,450/ton, and downstream manufacturers bid in the range of US$ 2,410-2,420/ton, while actually negotiated price was in the range of US$ 2,420-2,430/ton.

Actual negotiations were moderate.
