VSF prices remain stable in China

The viscose staple fibre (VSF) market in China remains stable in recent time.

Some manufacturers have reduced their offer price by 100 Yuan to 15,100 Yuan/ton and actual transactions are discussed in the price range of 15,000-15,100 Yuan/ton.

Negotiations for high-end VSF are currently in the range of 15,500-15,600 Yuan/ton.

Inquiries have increased for some VSF varieties, as some spinners plan to moderately purchase goods prior to the approaching festival period.

On the other hand, there are some other factories that are postponing their procurement after the festival period in view of poor orders and tight funds.

Overall, downstream buyers are cautious and hence the market is not likely to witness an increase in buying in the short term.
