China's Baling Petrochemical to raise CPL capacity

China’s Baling Petrochemical company is planning to increase its annual caprolactam (CPL) production capacity by 50 percent from the current 200,000 tons per annum to 300,000 tons per annum by 2012-end.
 
The company had rebuilt its caprolactam plant in April this year.
 
Last month, as on September 25, the company had produced 15,800 tons of CPL, taking its total CPL production since the beginning of the year to 158,000 tons.
 
The average daily CPL output during January 1-September 25, 2012 was about 640 tons.
