Mamata Banerjee inaugurates Dhunseri's second PET plant

The Company, through its subsidiary Egyptian Indian Polyester Company S.A.E. (EIPET), is setting up a 4, 20,000 TPA PET resin manufacturing facility at Ain EI Sokhna, a deep-sea port on the Red Sea, in Egypt, with 70% equity participation, The remaining equity in EIPET is held by Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company and Engineering for the Petroleum and Process Industry, both companies being owned by the Egyptian Government. This plant would cater to under-penetrated North African and European markets. The project is under construction and is expected to commence operations in the year 2013-14. 

The Company also has interest in cultivation, production and sale of tea and is having ten tea estates in the state of Assam. Further to have a global reach, the Company through its wholly owned subsidiary, Dhunseri Petrochem & Tea Pte Limited (based im Singapore) has recently acquired 100% share capital of Makandi Tea & Coffee Estates Limited and Kawalazi Estate Company Limited (both companies based in Malawi, Africa). 
 
The aforesaid two Subsldlanes based In Malawi, Africa produce 94.50 lac kgs of Tea and 4 lac kgs of Macadamia nuts. With this Dhunseri's Tea production capacity will reach to 20 mn kgs per annum.
