Chinese acrylic market remains lukewarm

The operating rate of acrylic manufacturing industry in China declined to about 60 percent as some manufacturers’ shutdown their plants for maintenance. The inventory level with manufacturers is not high.
 
However, the demand from downstream buyers remains flat and prices of acrylonitrile raw materials are witnessing a downward trend. Trading in acrylic stock remains lukewarm.
 
Currently, mainstream offers of 3D thread hank are in the range of 17,200-18,000 yuan/ton, while that of 3D tops are in the range of 18,200-19,000 yuan/ton.
 
In overseas acrylic fibre market, offers of ordinary acrylic is in the range of US$ 2.45/kg or higher.
 
Quotation of overseas acrylic is higher than domestic price, but it is expected to face downward pressure.
