Dull trading in China's domestic PTA spot market

Scarce actual negotiations took place in China’s domestic purified terephthalic acid (PTA) spot market on October 29.
 
In East China, PTA market offers were around 8,300 yuan/ton, and buyers bid for price of around 8,200 yuan/ton, while the negotiated price was around 8,250 ytuan/ton.
 
For PTA imported from Taiwan, prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1,090-1,095/ton on October 29. Downstream manufacturers bid for prices in the range of US$ 1,080-1,085/ton, and actually negotiated price was around US$ 1,085/ton. However, trading was dull.
 
For Korean produced cargo, PTA prices were in the US$ 1,100-1,105/ton, bids from buyers were in the range of US$ 1,090-1,095/ton and negotiations took place in the price range of US$ 1,095-1,100/ton.
