China's nylon & PP fibre outputs surge in Jan-Sept

The production of nylon and polypropylene fibres increased the most among all synthetic fibres in China during the initial nine months of the current year.
 
From January to September, China produced 1.354 million tons of nylon fibre, showing a year-on-year growth of 17.81 percent. In September itself, the country produced 155,000 tons of nylon fibre, according to monitoring data.
 
During the nine-month period, China’s polypropylene fibre output touched 264,500 tons, growing at a rate of 17.77 percent year-on-year. In September, China produced 39,500 tons of polypropylene fibre, showing a rise of 32.01 percent year-on-year.
 
China’s spandex fibre production touched 229,000 tons during the period under review, up 11.19 percent y-o-y. The country produced 26,900 tons of spandex fibre in September, up 32.27 percent y-o-y.
 
Similarly, 22.422 million tons of polyester fibre was produced during the period, growing at 8.78 percent y-o-y. China’s September polyester fibre production registered 2.603 million tons, up 5.92 percent y-o-y.
 
China’s acrylic fibre output amounted to 520,600 tons during January to September, up 0.14 percent y-o-y. In the month of September, China produced 57,400 tons of acrylic fibre.
