Chinese VSF & VFY prices show downtrend

In the previous week, prices of Cotton Linter maintained a steady trend at RMB 3030/ton, but this week the market opened with an increase of RMB 70/ton at RMB 3100/ton. In the last update from market, prices were in the range of RMB 2900/ton to RMB 3150/ton. Trading offers were in between RMB 2800/ton to RMB 3100/ton. Average price for last week was RMB 2800/ton.
 
Prices of Dissolving Pulp remained unchanged at RMB 6950/ton last week, and continued to maintain a stable trend. Prices of imported Dissolving Wood Pulp were assessed in the range of US$ 860/ton to US$ 880/ton. Prices of Pulp imported from the US were in the range of US$ 900/ton to US$ 950/ton, while those from Canada were in the range of US$ 850/ton to US$ 950/ton. Prices of Pulp imported from Sweden and Russia were in the range of US$ 850/ton to US$ 900/ton.
 
Prices of VSF initially went down by RMB 100/ton, but later it maintained a stable trend at RMB 14300/ton in the previous week. However, this week the market went down by RMB 100/ton to RMB 14200/ton. Earlier market opened in the range of RMB 14200/ton to RMB 14600/ton, but the trading prices went down to RMB 14200/ton. In the Chinese market, offers for imported VSF hovered in the range of US$ 1.95/kg to US$ 2.05/kg. Market experts forecast the price to remain range bound around US$ 2.05/kg in the near future.
 
In the previous week, prices of VFY gradually decreased to RMB 41600/ton. Earlier, market opened in the range of RMB 41500/ton to RMB 41800/ton, but the trading prices inched down to RMB 41500/ton. In the Chinese market, offers for imported VFY hovered in the range of US$ 6070/ton to US$ 6170/ton.
