Asian PX markets show mixed trend

Paraxylene (PX) prices showed mixed trend in the Asian region. In S E Asian region, PX prices were steady in the range of US$ 1565/ton to US$ 1570/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were offered at US$ 1560/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1580/ton to US$ 1585/ton.

Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market went up and were assessed in the range of US$ 1110/ton to US$ 1115/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices stayed steady in the range of RMB 8125/ton to RMB 8175/ton.

Ethylene prices remained stable in Asian markets.  In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1145/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were offered at US$ 1130/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined in the range of 50.50 cents/pound to 51.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept steady in European international and domestic markets, and were quoted at US$ 1200/ton and € 1100/ton, respectively.

MEG prices went down in the Asian region. In S E Asian region, MEG prices declined and were offered at US$ 1075/ton. In China market, MEG prices increased in the range of US$ 1080/ton to US$ 1085/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices went down in the range of RMB 7775/ton to RMB 7825/ton.

In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices kept steady in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1450/ton and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1430/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were assessed in the range US$ 1380/ton to US$ 1420/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained stable at RMB 9975/ton.

In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices kept unchanged in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1330/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices were stable in the range of RMB 9825/ton to RMB 9875/ton.

PSF prices were stable in the Asian region. In F E Asian region, PSF prices were quoted at 1520/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$ 1420/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained unchanged and were offered in the range of RMB 10525/ton to RMB 10575/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices kept steady and were offered at RMB 10700/ton, RMB 12250/ton and RMB 10850/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY were stable at US$ 1445/ton, US$ 1655/ton and US$ 1455/ton, respectively.
