KPTC Yunlin plant to produce 800000 tons of paraxylene

Kuokuang Petrochemical Technology Corp (KPTC) will set up a refinery and petrochemical complex in the Island nation.
The plant will be built at a cost of US $12.46 billion having a capacity of processing 300000 barrels oil per day.
Company's naphtha cracker will generate 1.2 million tons ethylene per year.
The plant will also have capacity to produce 800000 tons of paraxylene per year.
The project includes 23 plants for middle and downstream operations, 14 cogeneration facilities and 13 ports.
The plant will start later this year and the entire project will be completed by 2014 at Yunlin County, sources reported.
