PTA, MEG & PX continue to rise in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices surged in the Asian region. In S E Asian region, PX prices went up in the range of US$ 1600/ton to US$ 1605/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were offered at US$ 1585/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1590/ton to US$ 1595/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices surged in the range of RMB 8225/ton to RMB 8275/ton.

Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices increased in the range of US$ 1190/ton to US$ 1195/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1120/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices stayed steady in the range of 50.50 cents/pound to 51.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices were stable in European international and domestic markets at US$ 1200/ton and € 1080/ton, respectively.
