Ethylene prices move up in US market

Paraxylene (PX) prices stayed stable in Asian markets. In S E Asian region, PX prices kept unchanged in the range of US$ 1640/ton to US$ 1645/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were assessed at US$ 1635/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market surged and were offered in the range of US$ 1655/ton to US$ 1660/ton.

PTA prices remained unchanged in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, PTA prices stayed steady in the range of US$ 1150/ton to US$ 1155/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were offered at US$ 1150/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1150/ton to US$ 1155/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices went down in the range of RMB 8375/ton to RMB 8425/ton.

Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices increased in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1215/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were offered at US$ 1170/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices surged in the range of 53.00 cents/pound to 53.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices continued to be stable in European international and domestic markets, and were assessed at US$ 1190/ton and € 1060/ton, respectively.

MEG prices went down in the Asian region. In S E Asian region, MEG prices declined and were offered at US$ 1100/ton. In China market, MEG prices increased in the range of US$ 1100/ton to US$ 1105/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices were stable in the range of RMB 8150/ton to RMB 8200/ton.

In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained steady in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1490/ton and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1470/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were assessed in the range US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1480/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices kept stable at RMB 10450/ton.

In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1300/ton to US$ 1340/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 10300/ton to RMB 10325/ton.

PSF prices were steady in the Asian region. In F E Asian region, PSF prices were offered at 1570/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1470/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices stayed stable in the range of RMB 10825/ton to RMB 10875/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester DTY and FDY prices continued to be steady and were offered at RMB 12450/ton and RMB 11500/ton, while POY prices surged and were quoted at RMB 11100/ton. In export market, DTY and FDY prices went down and were quoted at US$ 1700/ton and US$ 1565/ton, while POY prices increased and were assessed at US$ 1520/ton.
