In addition to supplying paraxylene for the upcoming Mogilevkhimvolokno plant, being set up as part of the state run Belarus chemical company Belneftekhim, Kazakhstan is also likely to participate in the project.

Addressing a press conference, Mr. Ergali Bulegenov, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Belarus, said the talks for participation in the Mogilevkhimvolokno project have intensified after the recent visit of the Belarusian Premier to Kazakhstan.

The ambassador said the project would be profitable to both the countries.

Around 50 percent of the expected annual polyester fibre production of 600,000 tonnes by Mogilevkhimvolokno will be exported to other countries.
