Shutdown at all four Nan Ya Plastics MEG plants in 2013

Taiwan-based Nan Ya Plastics plans to undertake maintenance turnarounds and shutdowns for replacing Catalysts at all its four MEG plants located in Mailiao in 2013.

A Nan Ya official updating about the turnaround schedule to fibre2fashion said, “MEG plant No-1 will undergo turnaround in September 2013, while plant No-3 will stay shutdown for maintenance in November 2013.”
 
He added, “Plant No-2 and plant No-4 will remain shutdown in July and April 2013, respectively for replacement of Catalyst. Each of these plants will remain shut for a period of around 40 days during the replacement”.
 
“Additionally, plant No-4 will undergo a maintenance turnaround in October 2013 and will remain offstream for a period of 20 days”, he concluded by saying.
 
MEG plants No-1, 2 and 3 have a capacity of 360,000 tons / annum each while plant No-4 has a production capacity of 800,000 tons per annum.
