P/C & rayon yarn prices rise in Chinese markets

Several spinning enterprises in China are currently operating at lower rates than their full production capacity.
 
The spot price of cotton continues to rise gradually, but the prices of cotton yarn continue to remain stable.
 
At present, the mainstream price of cotton yarn C32S is in the range of 25,500-26,500 yuan/ton, where as the price of higher-grade yarn is in the range of 26,500-27,500 yuan/ton.
 
In recent days, the prices of polyester/cotton yarn have shown a rising trend, owing to increase in prices of polyester staple fibre (PSF).
 
Currently, polyester/cotton yarn T63/C35 32S is being traded in the range of 19,500-20,000 yuan/ton, while higher grade yarn is being quoted in the range of 20,000-20,500 yuan/ton.
 
The prices of rayon yarn have also improved due to a rise in the prices of viscose staple fibre in recent days. At present, rayon yarn R30S is being traded in the range of 18,000-18,500 yuan/ton, while higher grade yarn is quoted around 19,000 yuan/ton.
