Chinese VSF prices surge last week; VFY decline

In the previous week, prices of Cotton Linter were stable-to-firm at RMB 3325/ton and this week the prices continued to increase in the market by RMB 50/ton to RMB 3375/ton. In the last update from market, prices were in the range of RMB 3000/ton to RMB 3100/ton. Trading offers were in between RMB 2950/ton to RMB 3050/ton. Average price for last week was RMB 3015/ton.
 
In the last week, prices of Dissolving Pulp had opened with an increase at RMB 6850/ton and maintained a stable trend thereafter. Prices of imported Dissolving Wood Pulp were assessed in the range of US$ 870/ton to US$ 890/ton. Prices of Pulp imported from the US were in the range of US$ 890/ton to US$ 900/ton, while those from Canada were quoted in the range of US$ 850/ton to US$ 900/ton. Prices of Pulp imported from Sweden and Russia were assessed in the range of US$ 850/ton to US$ 880/ton.
 
Prices of VSF surged to RMB 14400/ton in the previous week. Earlier, market opened in the range of RMB 14200/ton to RMB 14400/ton, but the trading prices went up to RMB 14400/ton and stayed unchanged thereafter. In the Chinese market, offers for imported VSF hovered in the range of US$ 1.92/kg to US$ 1.98/kg. Market analysts expect VSF prices to remain around US$ 1.99/kg in the short-term.
 
Prices of VFY inched down in the previous week to RMB 39000/ton. Earlier, market opened in the range of RMB 39000/ton to RMB 39200/ton, but the trading prices declined to RMB 39000/ton, and later maintained a steady trend. In the Chinese market, offers for imported VFY hovered in the range of US$ 6020/ton to US$ 6130/ton.
