China's synthetic fibre output jumps in 2012

In December 2012, China produced 3.347 million tons of chemical fibre, registering an increase of 481,000 tons or 16.78 percent year-on-year, according to the data released by the National Bureau of Statistics. 
 
However, the output was 57,000 tons or 1.67 percent lower than the quantity produced a month earlier.
 
From September to December 2012, China’s synthetic fibre production totaled 13.335 million tons, showing a rise of 1.491 million tons or 12.59 percent year-on-year.
 
During January to December 2012, China produced 38.762 million tons of man-made fibre, up 5.002 million tons or 14.82 percent year-on-year.
