In major Chinese yarn producing provinces of Shandong, Hebei and Henan, yarn markets are showing a weak trend as several downstream textile and garment manufacturers have already entered the holiday period. As a result, yarn markets saw reduced turnover on January 31.

Prices of cotton yarn are steady and currently the mainstream price of cotton yarn C32S is around 26,000 yuan/ton, while the price of higher grade cotton yarn is in the range of 26,500-27,500 yuan/ton.

Similarly, the prices of polyester/cotton yarn are also stable and currently the mainstream price of T63/C35 32S yarn is around 20,000 yuan/ton, while the price of higher grade yarn is in the range of 20,500-21,000 yuan/ton.

Rayon yarn market continues to be stable and the mainstream price of rayon yarn R30S remains in the range of 18,500-19,000 yuan/ton, while the price of higher grade is still hovering around 19,500 yuan/ton.
