Iran's annual petrochemical exports pegged at $14bn

Iran has projected its petrochemical exports to touch US$ 14 billion by close of the current Iranian calendar year that ends on March 19.
 
Iran has exported over US$ 10 billion worth of petrochemical products by now this year, Tehran Times reported.
 
The oil-rich country currently has an annual petrochemical production capacity of 56 million tons, according to the Mehr News Agency.
 
According to reports, the country has already produced over 31 million tons of petrochemical products by now this year.
 
China and West European countries are the key importers of petrochemicals from Iran. Countries in Southeast Asia, Indian subcontinent, Latin America, Middle East and Africa also import petrochemicals from Iran.
 
For the last two year, the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) of Iran has been surveying new markets for its petrochemical exports, and it also has enhancing polymer goods exports on its agenda.
 
During last calendar year, Iran exported US$ 14 billion worth of petrochemical items to 60 countries worldwide.
