Chinese cotton linter prices stable, VSF dips last week

Prices of Cotton Linter maintained a stable trend at RMB 3650/ton in China in the week ending March 22. However in the week ending March 29, market moved down to RMB 3600/ton. In the last update from market, prices were in the range of RMB 3200/ton to RMB 3600/ton. Trading offers were in between RMB 3050/ton to RMB 3450/ton. Average price for last week was RMB 3060/ton.
 
Prices of Dissolving Pulp remained unchanged in the previous week and thereafter it continued to follow a downward trend. Prices of imported Dissolving Wood Pulp were assessed at US$ 935/ton. Prices of Pulp imported from the U.S were in the range of US$ 890/ton to US$ 1000/ton, while no offers were received from Canada during that period. Prices of Pulp imported from Sweden and Russia were between US$ 920/ton to US$ 950/ton.   
 
VSF prices followed a downward trend at RMB 14250/ton in the last week and thereafter it maintained a weak tone. Earlier market opened with a firm sentiment at RMB 14250/ton, but the trading prices decreased in the range of RMB 13850/ton to RMB 14100/ton. In the Chinese market, offers for imported VSF hovered in the range of US$ 1.94/kg to US$ 1.96/kg. Market experts believe that VSF prices would remain stable-to-soft at around US$ 1.98/kg.
 
In the previous week, prices of VFY remained unchanged at RMB 39150/ton and continued to maintain a stable stance. Earlier market opened in the range of RMB 39050/ton to RMB 39250/ton, but the trading prices went down to RMB 39100/ton. In the Chinese market, offers for imported VFY hovered in the range of US$ 6010/ton to US$ 6110/ton.
