Chinese cotton yarn market continues to remain stable

In recent days, China’s spot cotton price is fluctuating within a small range, so downstream cotton yarn prices too are stable. The stable demand for cotton yarn is also contributing to stability of cotton yarn markets in Shandong, Hebei and Henan provinces.

At present, the mainstream price of cotton yarn C32s is around 26,000 yuan/ton, while the prices of higher grade cotton yarn are in the range of 26,500-27,500 yuan/ton.

However, polyester staple fibre market in China is in adjustment mode, and this is impacting the sales of downstream polyester/cotton products. Some manufacturers are giving promotional offers to boost sales of weak selling products.

Currently, the mainstream price of T63/C35 yarn 32s is around 19,500 yuan/ton, and the prices of higher grade are around 20,000 yuan/ton in major Chinese markets.

Recently, viscose staple fibre market is showing a weak tendency, mainly due to lack of strong demand from the downstream sector. At present, the mainstream price of rayon yarn R30s is around 18,500 yuan/ton, while the prices of higher grade are around 19,000 yuan/ton in main producing provinces of Shandong, Hebei and Henan.
