Prices of Dissolving Pulp drop in Chinese market last week

In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Cotton Linter were spotted at RMB 2750/ton during the last week ending August 1, 2014, which were stable compared to the previous week. In the last updates from market, offer prices were in the range of RMB 2800/ton to RMB 3000/ton, and trading prices were between RMB 2700/ton and RMB 2900/ton.
 
Prices of Dissolving Pulp were assessed at RMB 6145/ton in the last week, which were down from the previous week. Prices of imported Dissolving Wood Pulp were assessed in the range of US$ 830/ton to US$ 840/ton. Prices of Pulp imported from the US and Europe were in the range of US$ 860/ton to US$ 880/ton and US$ 840ton to 860/ton, respectively, while those from Canada were in the range of US$ 780/ton to US$ 820/ton. Prices of Pulp imported from Sweden were between US$ 840/ton and US$ 850/ton.
 
VSF prices were spotted at RMB 11820/ton in the last week, which were relatively stable from the previous week. At the beginning of the week, VSF market opened at RMB 11850/ton, but prices dipped thereafter and were offered in the range of RMB 11800/ton to RMB 11850/ton during the week. In the Chinese market, offers for imported VSF were witnessed in the range of US$ 1.62/kg to US$ 1.66/kg. Market analysts expect VSF prices to remain range bound in the ongoing week.
 
In the last week, VFY market remained stable and prices were assessed at RMB 34600/ton. VFY market prices were unchanged as downstream buyers showed sluggish buying sentiments during that period. VFY producers kept offers in the range of RMB 34600/ton to RMB 34650/ton. In the Chinese market, offers for imported VFY hovered in the range of US$ 5700/ton to US$ 5810/ton.
