Chinese spandex prices stable from weak trading activity

Spandex prices remained flat in the Chinese market during this week, compared to previous week, due to weak trading activities and sluggish downstream demand.

During this week, selling offers for 20 D were in the range of RMB 59,000/ton to RMB 64,000/ton. For 30 D, selling offers were in the range of RMB 55,500/ton to RMB 57,000/ton, whereas 40 D was quoted in the range of RMB 49,200/ton to RMB 51,500/ton and selling offers for 70 D were in the range of RMB 48,000/ton to RMB 48,700/ton.

In export market, selling offers for coarser count like 20 D were stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 8.40/Kg to US$ 9.20/Kg, while deals mainly concluded in the range of US$ 8.35/Kg to US$ 9.15/Kg.

Selling offers for 30 D were assessed in the range of US$ 7.40/Kg to US$ 7.90/Kg, however deals concluded in the range of US$ 7.35/Kg to US$ 7.85/Kg.

Selling offers for 40 D Spandex remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 7.00/Kg to US$ 7.80/Kg but again deals concluded in the range of US$ 6.95/Kg to US$ 7.75/Kg.

Spandex prices are expected to remain range bound in the coming fortnight.
