PTA, MEG prices edged up, semi-dull and bright CDP prices showed upward trend and that of PET bottle slice remained steady on Monday, July 16.
Acrylic Staple 1.5 D × 38mm, acrylic top 3D × 102mm prices stayed constant and CPL, Nylon 6 slice prices moved sideways.
Viscose staple fiber sank in a weak trend. Polyester POY price gave a minor increase of 50 -100 yuan per ton. FDY, DTY prices were relatively stable.
Yarn market in general was firm. From varieties sales, demand for cotton yarn J21s was high. Pure polyester yarn 45s touched substantial trade volume and price was relatively stable.
Prices of polyester-viscose yarn and polyester-cotton yarn showed no big wave. Cost of polyester staple fiber moved higher. Polyester yarn rate is likely to see an upward trend.
