PTA price dipped, but MEG price rose sharply, semi-dull, bright polyester chip prices adjusted slightly downward, CDP price dipped, PET bottle slice price went flat on Monday, August 20.
PSF price went sideways, prices of acrylic staple fiber 1.5D × 38mm, acrylic top 3D x 102mm were stable; CPL, nylon 6 slice prices remained steady.
Total market trade volume of polyester filament was small. Polyester filament market is expected to remain weak for a short period; individual varieties face downward pressure on inventory rise.
All cotton yarn prices were at a steady state, jet yarns of cotton yarn 32s, 40s attracted good demand. Pure polyester yarn 45s was salable. Polyester yarn 32s declined; although rayon yarn traded in low volume, prices of 30s, 40s were still slightly increased.
Cotton-polyester 65/35 yarn 45s enlarged its trade volume. Polyester staple fiber and viscose staple fiber prices were stable. Future market is expected to stick in a strong position.
