On Monday, August 27, PTA, MEG prices were in adjustment. Prices of semi-dull and bright polyester chips were stable. CDP slices, PET bottle prices remained unchanged while PSF rates fell.
Acrylic staple fiber 1.5D × 38mm and acrylic top 3D x 102mm prices were steady. Prices of CPL, nylon 6 slices were firm. VSF prices remained stable as earlier. Overall market of polyester filament was weak and market prices declined.
Currently, the entire market of polyester filament has acquired a strong wait-and-see policy; most traders think short-term rates of polyester filament will continue its weak trend.
Prices of 100 percent cotton yarn stand in a firm position. From the varieties in the market, sales of all cotton yarn J21s, J32S have grown slightly. Pure polyester yarn 45s was salable. They are mainly used for production of woven fabrics of cotton and polyester blended series, so prices were relatively stable.
Market prices of rayon yarn 40s, 40s/2 and 50s continued to climb higher. Future market is expected to maintain a secured position.
