PTA price stabilized, ME prices slightly rose on October 15. Prices of semi and bright polyester chip and CDP slice were in correction; PET bottle price slightly reduced; PSF price little changed, prices of acrylic staple fiber 1.5 D × 38mm, acrylic top 3 D × 102mm were flat. CPL price consolidated, nylon 6 slice price increased.
VSF prices were in steady consolidation. Market trade volume of polyester filment was not large. Actual market prices of POY, DTY lowered. Weaving manufacturers followed the principle of making production against sales, due to current market conditions.
Therefore, trade volume of polyester filament market for short term is unlikely to enlarge. Selling and inventory pressure still exist. Recent polyester filament market will continue to look weak.
Cotton yarn prices and supply were stable. Sales of cotton yarn J40s slightly enlarged. Prices of polyester and viscose yarns were firm with small trade volume.
Rayon yarn price unchanged, 10s was salable. Pure polyester yarn 45s still had demand. 45s and 50s dropped slightly. The future market is expected to mainly stay in consolidation.
