A recently released data from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan showed that country's naphtha imports in September for production of ethylene rose 1.6 percent over the previous month to 125 tons, as more naphtha crackers resumed operation, after routine maintenance.
The ministry said that in September, one petrochemical plant was in routine maintenance, while two were in routine maintenance in August.
Data showed that average price of naphtha import in September was US $686.6 per ton, representing a drop of 0.5 percent from August.
