Exchange strikes 31 contracts last week

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan inked 31 transactions, which was valued at US $27,145 million. These deals helped the country to deposit Manat 46,199 bn to the national bank.

Liquefied gas and polypropylene produced at the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries were procured by traders from Iran. They also purchased different types of cotton lint.

Russian dealers bought cotton yarn, drive belts and mattress cotton. Afghanis obtained garment cotton while British traders went for lint cotton.

Men from Russia, Cypriot, Kyrgyz, Azerbaijan, Belize, India, US, Turkey and UAE purchased cotton yarn, grey fabric, terry jacquard towels, dyed fabric, cotton peel, washed Sarajin wool.

To meet the domestic requirement, Turkmen dealers obtained cotton lint for over Manat 1,312 billion. All these dealings were made in foreign currency.
