Thin market keeps filament trade flat

PTA prices were stable, MEG prices fell further, semi-bright and bright polyester chips moved downward with inertia, prices of CDP showed consolidation and PET bottle slice price sank in adjustment on Monday, December 10.

PSF price went lower. Acrylic staple fiber 1.5 D × 38mm, acrylic top 3 D × 102mm prices were steady. CPL price indicated slightly lower. Nylon 6 slice price was stable through consolidation. VSF market trend remained stable.

Filament market was thin with poor performance, market trade was flat. Although price offered by spinning factories saw little change, its general price showed concession.

Currently, both spinning manufacturers and traders have shown a bearish perspective towards the market outlook. Therefore, the overall market will continue to be vulnerable to slowdown in a short period.

Cotton yarn and thread market basically remained stable. From transactions of varieties, sales of all cotton yarn 21s enlarged, trade volume of yarn 30s remained fair. Rayon yarn price was flat with the double-day weekend, but trade volume was small.

Market turnover of polyester/ cotton yarn, polyester / viscose yarn remained low, but prices managed to be unchanged. Prices of individual species of pure polyester yarns showed decreasing signs.

PSF price continued to drop in vibration; its market outlook will lead to a downward trend of polyester yarn price.
