This week, (Dec 3-7), domestic market price of Spandex continued to pull back. Mainstream trade price of 20 D Spandex was in 12000-123000 yuan per ton. Up to now, the price of fine yarn fell 3000-5000 yuan per ton, with some areas cut another 1,000-2,000 yuan. 30D spandex generally stayed at 93,000 yuan per ton, mainstream bid of 40 D stood at 72000-74000 yuan per ton with small orders sold as high as 76,000 yuan per ton and large orders traded at about 70,000 yuan per ton.
This week, domestic market operation of Polytetramethylene ether glycol (PTMEG) was also stable with mainstream price still in 32000-35000 yuan per ton. Downstream Spandex market shrank in total trade volume. Production operation rate was at normal level, procurement of raw materials remained stable. Foreign offer is currently at $3450-3500 per ton. The market outlook is expected to be in stability.
This week, domestic market of pure Methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) was basically steady. December offer of pure MDI by Yantai Wanhua maintained at 27,500 yuan per ton, November settlement was at 27,500 yuan per ton, both flat with previous month. Foreign offer maintained at about $2800 per ton. Currently, demand of pure MDI and polymerization MDI are in a low season, normal price of MDI shows a seasonal decline.
Operations of melt-spun market remained stable. Mainstream price of 20 D was offered at about 95,000 yuan per ton, impacting melt-spinning market trend. Downstream demand was steady, relatively tight supply was found with most suppliers. Domestic melt - spun market is expected to keep a steady trend.
